Mark Holder is an eXp South Africa real estate agent who has over 30 years experience in the residential, commercial, industrial, and retail fields in the sales and rental markets. His main focus has been in residential and developmental sales. In recent years, with lockdown restrictions and lack of face-to-face interaction due to COVID-19, Mark had difficulty connecting with his clients and was limited to making more personalized connections over the phone and through Zoom presentations. After learning about Frame, a browser-based metaverse product that pushes the limits of what can be done in virtual spaces from the desktop, mobile, and VR, he felt he could not only save multiple deals but also present his buyers with an experience like no other.
Mark has been using Frame since its inception. Before that, he was giving buyers and recruiting presentations through Zoom and in person if he had the opportunity. What he was finding with these various camera and screensharing platforms is that the experience was getting stale and something had to be downloaded, creating delays as well as confusion and frustration. Clients were quickly losing interest. He wanted something where he could connect immediately and interact with people while still keeping his clients engaged.
Mark saw an opportunity within Frame to make more personalized connections, create well-organized virtual worlds tailored to his listings, and embed links to important documents and properties so his clients could easily view the listings on their own – something he was unable to do with Zoom, Google Meets, and other platforms. His first few months were heavily spent on building, learning, and absorbing feedback from his peers and clients to build a unique and amazing metaverse experience for his clients.
He shared a story about a client who was not an easy sale. His client was renting and needed to move into a home within two months. She needed to buy quickly. Mark scheduled a showing to view a property, but the next morning, received a call from the client. Her daughter had tested positive for COVID and they could not meet that day. Mark thought quickly and created a Frame tailored to that property with a 3D virtual tour, links embedded to all the necessary documents and he gave her a virtual guided tour of the property within his Frame. In about 20 minutes of meeting with her, she was able to sign the necessary documents and they closed within two weeks. He states, “If I didn't have Frame I would have actually lost that deal and she would have gone with someone else”.
Within the past several months Mark has been able to close more than six deals within Frame and has drastically impacted his real estate business in today’s current market. He is able to not only meet with his clients but train and onboard his team and host exclusive events through his well-catered and organized Frames and metaverse offices.
