Can I record a Frame Session?

Learn how to record your Frame sessions using the built-in recorder or external software.

Recording your sessions is a great way to capture presentations, meetings, or social events in Frame.

1. Using the Frame Recorder (recommended)

For best results, keep Frame as the only tab in your browser window.

  • Open the sidebar and click **Start Screen Capture**.
  • A popup will ask you to choose what to share: browser tab, window, or entire screen. Select an option and click **Share**.
  • You will see a small note at the bottom of your screen indicating that recording has started. You can hide this note if you prefer.
  • When you are finished, open the sidebar and click **Stop Capture**.
  • A popup will appear asking for a file name and where to save it. Enter a name, choose the destination, and click **Save**.
  • Your recording will be saved as a **.webm** file.

2. Using External Screen Recording Software

You can also record outside of Frame using any screen recording tool (for example, the built‑in recorder on a Mac or dedicated screen‑capture software).

  • Before you start, check your audio input and recording levels to make sure both your voice and the in‑world audio are captured correctly.
